Now more than ever, I’m realizing that how we consume has a huge impact on the world around us. Fashion has a monstrous effect – just yesterday I found out that the average pair of jeans uses 3000 gallons of water!!! How crazy is that? So it’s good to know that changes are starting to happen. My good compadre, Dani Roche is the creative director of Biannual, a soon-to-launch line of Canadian-designed outerwear that is 100% vegan. They never use leather, fur, or down, which is so awesome considering how cool and well made the stuff is. They have everything from duvet coats to bright faux furs (I got the advanced sneak peak of the full line at the K+P studio) and had to style this fluffy wonder – with fishnets of course for full Parkdale realness.
